A most stunning English superb George III late 18th century London long case clock by John Honeychurch, a well respected London maker. The eight day movement, striking hourly on a bell, has five pillars, a repeat cord to strike the last hour and all set in a quality mahogany case with applied panels and long trunk door. The twelve inch arched dial is quite exceptional having a strike/silent feature, date aperture and second hand. The face has Roman numerals and the hood has a glazed door and glazed side panels. Both case and movement have undergone professional restoration and the clock has been restored to its original high quality finish. Both the hood door and trunk door are enhanced with brass mounts and reeded columns.
